First of all if you haven't seen this drama I advise you to not read this blog at all! So all I'm saying is SPOILER ALERT!!!!! You have been warned.
I've just finished watching Healer staring Ji Chang Wook as Healer and Park Min Young as Choi Young Sin. I heard about Healer before I started watching it but I still had no idea what to expect going in. I really like the show. If I had to make a list of my top 10 favorite dramas this would make the cut. The acting was great and even was the plot. This drama captured my attention from the beginning till the end. I'm not saying everyone would enjoy it. It depends on what type of dramas you like. I'm opened to any and all dramas. I use to not like melodramas until I watched I Miss You but I won't get into that right now. Okay lets get started properly now.
If you look up Healer on wiki [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Healer_(TV_series)] this is what they have to say about the show: A decades-old incident involving a group of friends who ran an illegal broadcasting station brings together three different people—a mysterious night errand guy with the codename "Healer" (Ji Chang-wook) who happens to possess top-notch fighting skills, a reporter from a second-rate tabloid news website (Park Min-young), and a famous journalist at a major broadcast station (Yoo Ji-tae). On the journey to discover the truth and resolve the mystery from the past, they will have to deal with the conflict of truth versus fate.
So as it states Healer is a night errand guy, so if pay him the right amount of money he'll do anything except for killing pretty much. Killing is something he's against. He does get framed for murder (twice) though. So he works with an older woman (from my understanding he has never met her face to face until the end of the show) he calls Ahjumma but her real name is Jo Min Ja. Ahjumma is a hacker she use to be a detective but quit that and started working for a man named Ki Young Jae Healer's teacher. Healer knows Ki Young Jae because his dad (who was murdered and framed for killing his best friend) was friends with him.
I'll explain the picture. You'll have to bare with me my thoughts are all over the place. You will get confused reading my blog. I'm sorry!
So well start left to right.
Healer's father (Seo Joon Seok), Young Sin's biological father (Oh Kil Ahn), Young Sin's biological mother ( Choi Myung Hee), Kim Moon Sik, and Ki Young Jae.
Now Seo Joon Seok is framed for killing Oh Kil Ahn. The truth is he never did he went to the police station to give his witness statement and tell him who really killed Oh Kil Ahn. A man they call the Elder is responsible for a lot of bad things that happen in this show, scratch that his is responsible for all the bad things that happen in this show. I should start at the beginning.
Healer is hired by Kim Moon Ho (Moon Sik's little brother) to get the DNA of Choi Young Sin. Moon Ho is looking for his Noona's (Choi Myung Hee) daughter who was said to be dead. Moon Ho knows that she isn't dead because when her grave plot was moved there was no body inside the coffin. Moon Sik was the person who buried Oh Ji An (Young Sin). Healer than sticks by her side because of personal reasons such as trying to figure out who framed him for the murder of one of his clients. He knows that someone around Moon Ho knows and seeing how Moon Ho is interested in Young Sin why not stick around? Healer starts to care and worry about Young Sin. Whenever she's in danger he helps her out without revealing his identity. How you ask? Just watch the dang show and you'll see or if you've seen the show you wouldn't be asking that question...anyway. Healer goes into Moon Sik's house and sees the above photo and thinks things just got interesting. So he gets deeper into some mess finds out his dad was framed for killing Young Sin's dad doesn't tell her. She finds out he's healer but doesn't say anything. Moon Ho finds out he's healer and wants to help him prove his father's innocents. Blah Blah Blah if you've watched the show you know everything already. Yada Yada Yada Yada....He finds out about the Elder and captures the elder's face on live news later off in the show. He gets black mailed to say that he killed a guy while being recorded just to keep his girl safe. Yes I know I'm skipping things and not saying things properly but if you've seen the show you'll know and if you haven't either go watch the show or go read someone else's blog that talks about everything in detail. I didn't mention it by this point Young Sin and Healer are together but she doesn't even know his real name....yes she does at first she knew him by Healer, then when she actually met him face to face he was going by Bong Soo, then when he actually told her the truth she got his real name Seo Jung Hoo. Back to the story now. So Healer tells Young Sin the truth about being blackmailed and that he has to go into hiding and that he has to get rid of his phone and to not go by his house at all. So she listens but hates it...of course. Ah how I wish my life was exciting as some of the k-dramas. Well i just wouldn't like people trying to kill me or kidnapping me are hurting me and the people I love...can I just be one of the supporting characters? So he starts getting the finger prints of the people that actually killed the person he's being framed for. Well when a detective does get the finger prints, the murder weapon is completely clean, no finger prints and no blood so that means the finger prints are USELESS. Sucks doesn't it. By this point the elder has released the video of Healer admitting to killing the other person so plan B. They capture the Elder. How you ask? Should I tell you to watch the show and end the blog here or should I tell you?
After much thinking I decided to.....tell you! YAY!!!!!!! *throws a party* I'm not like the typical bloggers am I?
The watcher doesn't get to know what that plan is they have to wait until it happens so you are left wondering how in the world are they going to capture him. You might be sitting, or laying, or even standing there thinking long and hard about it but just can't figure it out until the last episode; where the shock from the episode before has wore off. Yes I do know I have run on sentences and possible not whole sentences but I don't care it's a blog for crying out loud I don't have to be perfect on a blog unless it's a serious blog like about politics or something. At the end of episode 19 Healer gets shot and is bleeding out. I was taken back by it. I didn't think getting shot would be part of the plan. So I watched the last episode trying to figure out, What Did I Just Watch!? So they show what the plan truly was in episode 20. Healer changes into his usual get up in the bathroom, but this time he puts a blood pack in his jacket at his chest and acts like he's being shot. So then you see everything that happened at the end of episode 19 happen again except this time Healer is looking around and Moon Ho has to make him be still. People are arrested Bong Soo is announced dead and the Elder is outed for a bacterial outbreak that killed five people and is arrested. Now Healer and Young Sin can live life like normal people and be together without the fear of being killed. YAY!!!! THE END
